Section 16.6 · Binding doctrine principle DP5
Freshness and Currency Maintenance
Every public-facing content artifact is maintained against the platform's evolution and the category's evolution; stale content is actively retired or updated rather than accumulating into the content debt that erodes source authority.

Why this principle exists
DP5 is one of the eleven binding doctrine principles governing the §16.6 Discoverability Operating System. Each principle is enforced as a continuous engineering function rather than a discrete campaign — the platform’s discoverability authority compounds over sustained operation and erodes during inter-cycle gaps. The compound presence thesis means a gap on any single principle produces multiplicative drag across every presence vector the principle supports.
